Well, it’s been a long time since I’ve updated this page. Much has happened in the last year. The pandemic is finally in the rear view mirror. My wife and I have converted our garage into a rental. And we have the best tenant we could have wished for. And a few weeks ago I played my first keyboard gig in 20 years! I think it went fine, but I was nervous. The band is having me back, so I guess I did alright.  And I’ll be playing at Knott’s Berry Farm throughout the summer with two different bands, Doo Wah Riders and Franklin Wall. Stay safe and enjoy some live music!

In 1995 I moved to Nashville where I had the opportunity to play with such artists as Tanya Tucker, Johnny Paycheck and Jeannie C. Riley. I also performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage many times with a variety of artists including Trick Pony, who I joined in 1998. During that time I appeared in their videos on CMT and on nationally broadcast shows such as CBS' The Early Show and CNN Headline News' In The Front Row.

My travels have taken me to nearly every state in the Union and internationally to Japan and Canada. Traveling across this planet of ours is one of the most exhilarating experiences I have had. The beauty of this world is so inspiring and also so serene. Although I enjoy playing country and pop music I am still most deeply connected to classical music, my first love, and jazz. In my own compositions, I have created a style that combines those influences with New Age music and Eastern philosophy. I completed my first CD in 2002 under the name Sunset Beach, called Time and Again.

I got married in 2004 and moved back to San Juan Capistrano, CA after being away for 25 years. Now I am teaching in a number of schools and staying busy playing jazz, country, classical, rock, bluegrass and square dance music. You gotta love the violin!
